About

The questions nobody asks out loud

GlowHub is a beauty community built for Nigerian women, where you can ask about the skin, hair and body things you would rather not raise in a group chat — anonymously if you want — and get answers from people who actually know.

01Why GlowHub exists

Ask a Nigerian woman where she gets her skincare advice and you will hear the same answers: a WhatsApp group, a market seller with a strong opinion, a cousin, or a TikTok video made by someone with different skin and a different climate.

Meanwhile the questions that matter most are the ones people are least willing to ask publicly. Hyperpigmentation that will not fade. Hair thinning at the edges. A reaction to a product that a friend swore by. Whether the cream someone recommended is safe. These get whispered, or not asked at all, and the answer arrives too late.

GlowHub exists to make those questions easy to ask and safe to answer. Post anonymously, get responses from members who have been through the same thing and from verified beauty professionals, and see what actually worked rather than what was advertised.

02How it works

  • Ask anything across skincare, hair care, makeup, nails, fragrance, body care and wellness — with your name attached or not.
  • Get answers from the community and from Verified Pros, and mark the ones that helped or that genuinely worked for you.
  • Join challenges — 7, 14, 21 or 30-day routines with daily check-ins, because consistency is what actually changes skin.
  • Earn GlowPoints for helping other people, and move through five tiers from Newcomer to Glow Legend.
  • Read expert articles written for the climate, water and products people here actually live with.

GlowHub is free. There is an optional paid membership, and everything essential works without it.

03Why the answers can be trusted

  • Verified Pros are checked. Cosmetologists, trichologists, estheticians and licensed stylists submit credentials before they get a badge, and lose it if they give unsafe advice.
  • "Worked for me" is separate from "helpful". One tells you an answer was well written. The other tells you a real person tried it and it worked. They are different things and we keep them apart.
  • Moderation is active. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours, and dangerous advice comes down. The community guidelines set out exactly what is not allowed.
  • Paid promotion must be disclosed. If a brand paid for a post, it says so.

GlowHub is not a clinic. Nothing on the platform is medical advice or a diagnosis. For a persistent, painful or worsening condition, see a dermatologist or doctor.

04Who builds GlowHub

GlowHub is built and operated by Techforge Developer Limited, trading as The Tech Forge, a software company based in Lagos, Nigeria.

We are a small team. That has consequences worth being honest about: we ship carefully, we answer support email ourselves, and we would rather do a few things properly than launch a long list of half-features. If something is broken or missing, telling us usually works — a good share of what is in the app came from member suggestions.

05How we make money

Two ways, and it is worth being direct about both:

  • GlowHub Premium — an optional monthly membership that unlocks extra features. The free version stays genuinely usable.
  • Partnerships with beauty brands — clearly labelled as such, wherever they appear.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers. Our privacy policy says exactly what we collect and why.
