Terms of service

01The agreement

These terms form a binding contract between you and Techforge Developer Limited, a company registered in Nigeria, covering the GlowHub mobile apps, the GlowHub web app and this website (together, "GlowHub").

Our privacy policy and community guidelines are part of these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use GlowHub.

02Who can use GlowHub

• You must be at least 18 years old. GlowHub allows anonymous posting, so we do not permit accounts for anyone under 18.
• We may ask you to confirm your date of birth. Accounts found to belong to under-18s are closed.
• You must not be barred from using GlowHub under any applicable law, and you must not have been previously banned from the platform.

03Your account

• Give accurate information when you register, and keep it current.
• Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Tell us at support@glowhub.ng immediately if you think someone else has access to it.
• One account per person. Multiple accounts used to manipulate points, votes or moderation will be removed.
• You can delete your account at any time — see Delete your account.

04How you must behave

You agree to follow the community guidelines in full. In addition, you must not:

• Break any law, or use GlowHub to facilitate anything illegal
• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract our source code
• Scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or member data
• Use bots, scripts or automation to interact with GlowHub
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or interfere with their operation
• Upload malware, or anything designed to damage or overload the service
• Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit GlowHub without our written permission

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use GlowHub for your own non-commercial purposes. That licence ends when your account does.

05Content you post

You own what you write. Posting on GlowHub does not transfer ownership of your questions, answers, comments or photos to us.

To operate the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute your content within GlowHub, and to feature it in GlowHub's own marketing. This licence exists only so we can run and promote the platform, and it ends when you delete the content, except where it has been shared by others or where we must retain it for legal reasons.

You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

We may remove content that breaks these terms or the community guidelines, or that we are legally required to remove. Where practical we tell you why.

Copyright complaints

If content on GlowHub infringes your copyright, email support@glowhub.ng with a link to the content, proof of your ownership, and your contact details. We investigate and remove infringing material promptly.

06Our content and brand

The GlowHub name, logo, app design, expert articles, challenge content and software are owned by Techforge Developer Limited and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, adapt or use them commercially without our written permission.

07GlowPoints

• GlowPoints are a loyalty feature inside GlowHub. They are not money and have no cash value.
• They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or refunded.
• We may adjust how points are earned, what they unlock, and their expiry, with notice in the app.
• Points obtained through manipulation, multiple accounts or any farming scheme will be removed, and your account may be suspended.
• Points are forfeited when an account is deleted or banned.

08GlowHub Premium

GlowHub Premium is an optional paid membership that unlocks additional features. GlowHub itself remains free to use.

• Price and billing period are shown clearly before you pay, and again on your receipt.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• Cancel any time. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed. App Store subscriptions are managed in your Apple account settings, Google Play subscriptions in the Play Store, and website subscriptions by emailing support@glowhub.ng.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice. Existing members are told before any increase applies to them, and can cancel before it takes effect.
• If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend Premium features until payment succeeds.

09Refunds

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable, including for partial periods and for periods where you did not use the service.

We will refund you where the law requires it, or where you were charged in error, charged twice, or a technical fault on our side prevented you from using what you paid for. Email support@glowhub.ng within 14 days and we will look into it.

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, refunds are handled under Apple's or Google's own policies and must be requested from them.

10GlowHub is not medical advice

• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about a skin, hair or health condition.
• Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read on GlowHub.
• Patch-test any new product, and check ingredients against your own allergies and conditions.
• The "Verified Pro" badge indicates professional experience in the beauty industry. It is not a claim that the person is a licensed medical practitioner, and we do not verify medical qualifications.
• We do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for any product, brand, treatment or salon mentioned by members.

You use information from GlowHub at your own risk and are responsible for your own decisions about your body.

11Availability

GlowHub is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue GlowHub entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability.

12Suspension and termination

We may suspend or permanently close your account if you break these terms or the community guidelines, if your account is used fraudulently, or if we are legally required to. Serious breaches may result in immediate closure without warning.

If your account is closed for a breach, unused GlowPoints and any remaining subscription period are forfeited. You can appeal a moderation decision as set out in the community guidelines.

You may close your account at any time. Sections covering content licences, liability, and governing law survive termination.

13Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from content posted by other members, products you buy from third parties, or decisions you make based on information found on GlowHub.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period, or ₦20,000.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you post or from your breach of these terms.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top tells you which version applies. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use GlowHub after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can close your account.

15Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, except that consumers in other countries keep any mandatory rights and forums available to them under their local law.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
